amang Society of the United Kingdom is a charitable and non profit making organisation devoted to look after the social, religious and cultural affairs. The growing number of Tamangs residing in the UK over the last couple of years necessitated the formation of this Society in order to communicate and share the language, culture, religion and traditions.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be visiting the UK from 15th - 23rd June 2012 to spread his message of non-violence, dialogue and universal responsibility.
On Thursday 21 June 2012, His Holiness is giving a public talk at Aldershot Town Football Club, Aldershot at 10.45 am.
If anyone wishes to attend the talk, ticket will be available from the mid week of April.

हाम्रो नेपाल भौगोलिक रूपमा सानो भए पनि संस्कृतिमा धनी छ । हामी गर्वसँग भन्नसक्छौं हामीसँग सयौं जात/जाति, सयौं भाषाभाषी, त्यत्तिकै संख्यामा संस्कृतिहरू छन् । हाम्रो जस्तो ऐतिहासिक सांस्कृतिक पृष्ठभूमि बोकेको महान् देश संसारमा विरलै पाइन्छ । तर विगतको २४० वर्षसम्म हिन्दु खस कथित उच्चजात सामन्ती राजतन्त्रले जातीय, भाषिक, धार्मिक, सांस्कृतिक विविधतालाई विकासको बाधक ठान्यो । “हिन्दुधर्म, हिन्दुराजा, खसभाषा र हिन्दु संस्कृति”को संरक्षण र विकासको लागि नेपालका सम्पूर्ण रैथाने आदिवासी जाति, जनजाति, भाषा, धर्म, संस्कृति र सभ्यतालाई मान्यता नदिएको मात्र होइन, हिन्दु मूल्य र मान्यतामा सबैलाई विलय गराउने दमनकारी बाटो अपनायो । यो अवधि नेपालको मौलिक रैथाने आदिवासी संस्कृतिहरूका लागी संकटकाल थियो । यसलाई सांस्कृतिक साम्राज्यवाद भन्नसकिन्छ । अहिले यस्तो एकल जातीय सांस्कृतिक नीतिद्वारा क्षतविक्षत भएका सबै सांस्कृतिक सभ्यताले पहिचान, प्रतिष्ठा र मान्यता खोज्नथालेका छन् । सबै आफ्नो सामुदायिक चाडपर्वलाई राजकीय मान्यता दिलाउने प्रयत्नमा जुटेका छन् । स्मरणीय छ कि यस सम्बन्धमा यही २०६५ माघ १० गते तामाङ जातिको ९७ वटा संघसंस्थाले संयुक्त रूपमा ल्होछारको लागि ५ दिनकेा सार्वजनिक बिदाको माग गर्दै प्रधानमन्त्रीलाई ज्ञापनपत्र बुझाएको छ ।
